The show is created by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagtiand the duo were present at the trailer launch even with the cast and crew.
Zoya spoke about the show and said she was trolled for taking so long for revealing details of the show. “We didn’t expect ‘Made In Heaven’ would land this way. We were extremely nervous and no matter what I post, I’m asked about Made In Heaven. Since it’s been so long, I was also being trolled for not coming up with the season 2 or revealing details. Hence we finally had to drop the trailer and release date now.”
Zoya further added that, “We lensed the show through women and through the LGBTQ community and it’s an extension to that.”
Reema echoed her sentiment and spoke about how they’ve created strong female characters. “We are obsessed with the female experience from different angles,” she laughed. The reason the second season has taken a while is because the makers took time to write and Covid created a lot of chaos with the shooting schedule.
The trailer of ‘Made In Heaven 2’ is quite intriguing. It sees Sobhita Dhulipala and Arjun Mathur again with Jim Sarbh. The second season will also see many other actors like Mona Singh, Dia Mirza, Mrunal Thakur, Neelam Kothari, Sanjay Kapur, Sameer Soni, Radhika Apte among others.
