Vir Das joins Ananya Panday’s debut OTT show Call Me Bae | Hindi Movie News

Vir Das is one of the most enigmatic stand-up comics in the country and has also featured in Bollywood films like Badmaash Company, Delhi Belly and Go Goa Gone to name a few. Taking over the OTT space, the actor has joined the cast of Ananya Panday‘s debut OTT web series titled ‘Call Me Bae‘. This show is backed by Karan Johar’s production house and is directed by Colin D’Cunha, who was earlier supposed to direct ‘Dostana 2’.

‘Call Me Bae’ will narrate the story of a billionaire fashionista who is distanced by her family because of a lewd controversy and then she has to find her way out of the mess she created. Vir’s last OTT outing was ‘Hasmukh’, which was released three years ago.
Apart from Ananya and Vir Das, ‘Call Me Bae’ also stars Gurfateh Pirzada, who was last seen in Ashim Ahluwalia’s ‘Class’ and ‘Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva’. The shooting for the show has already been completed and it is currently in post-production stage. ‘Call Me Bae’ is expected to begin streaming by the end of 2023.
