Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt were recently in Kolkata to launch Dhindhora Baje Re song of their upcoming film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The actress, who plays the role of a Bengali girl Rani Chatterjee, was seen brushing up her Bengali skills before going on stage for the event. But nervousness took over and Alia forgot her lines! And instead of helping his Rani, Ranveer was seen poking fun at Alia Bhatt.
In an Instagram video that Alia shared, she is seen rehearsing her lines in Bengali. The actress learnt the lines like “Tomader Shobai ke Onek dhonnobad ekhane ashar jonyo (Thank you for being here),” and “Dhindhora khub bhalo lagbe (You all will really like Dhindhora).” But when she came face to face with the crowd Alia blanked out on her lines and Ranveer was quipped, “So cute, yaar. Tu homework karke ayi thi. Exam ke time sab bhool gayi (You aced your homework but forgot everything during the exam).”
After Gully Boy in 2019, Ranveer and Alia have teamed up yet again for this Karan Johar directorial. Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani is all set to hit the screens on July 28, the film also stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi.
