The advance booking for Gadar 2 opened on Sunday at few centers and on Wednesday at national multiplexes, and at both places the response has been amazing.
The film has sold 1700 tickets in PVR, 1200 tickets inInox and 5200 tickets in Cinepolis as on 3rd August at 11 am.
Sunny Deol, who was promoting the movie along with his co-star Ameesha Patel in Jaipur recently took to his IG handle to share his excitement over the good news. Sharing a solo pic of himself, Sunny wrote, “You all made Gadar. A GADAR. And now with the advance booking I can see you all are going to make Gadar 2 GADAR. Apne to Apne hote hai ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”

Advance booking for OMG 2 opened before Gadar 2 at national chains but it took less than 30 minutes for Gadar 2 to beat OMG 2 which had a headway of 6-7 hours. The response to OMG 2 at advance counters has also been decent but when compared to the Sunny Deol starrer, it looks small. OMG 2 has sold 1100 tickets in PVR, 550 tickets in Inox and 350 tickets in Cinepolis as of 11am on 3rd August.
Box Office India suggests that the iconic value of Gadar- Ek Prem Katha and superbly cut trailer has led to mass appeal for the film.
