Subhash Ghai is set to re-release ‘Khalnayak’ in September, the director reveals what people told him after ‘Gadar 2 | Hindi Movie News

Subhash Ghai is one of the most renowned filmmakers of the country. The director is known for a number of movies which have remained iconinc over the years. Ghai who is known for movies like ‘Ram Lakhan’, ‘Pardes’, ‘Taal’ amidst many more is set to re-release one of his best films ‘Khalnayak‘ in theatres. He will release the film on September 4 through his theatre chain, Mukta Arts Cinema.They have more than 100 screens in the country.
The 1993 film ‘Khalnayak’ is considered one of Sanjay Dutt‘s best work. It also stars Jackie Shroff and Madhuri Dixit. In June this year, Dutt had shared a post on Instagram thinking that it’s the film’s 30th anniversary. He had said, “I want to congratulate Subhashji one of the greatest directors of the Indian screen, Jackie dada for being the perfect Ram and Madhuri for being Ganga, and the entire cast and crew of #Khalnayak, I am grateful and proud to be a part of such an iconic film, and cherish every moment of it. 30 years and yet it looks like a film made yesterday, thank you Subhash Ji and Mukta Arts for making this film and me being a part of it, thank you once again. And thank you to all the fans whose love has made Khalnayak a classic. #30YearsOfKhalnayak.”
However, Khalnayak’s release date is August 6, 1993. The filmmaker had clarified and asked fans to wait for a surprise. Now the news is that ‘Khalnayak’ is re-releasing. But that’s not all. Ghai has said to Pinkvilla that he got many messages after ‘Gadar 2’ released that he should make ‘Khalnayak 2’. Hence, Ghai confirmed that he’s contemplating a sequel. One shall hear the news very soon and the film will have Sanjay along with a new star!
Well, fans certainly would be awaiting this one – more so, after Dutt’s baddie act in ‘KGF 2’ as Adheera got a lot of applause.
