Shabana Azmi becomes a victim of cybercrime, launches complaint against impersonation: deets inside | Hindi Movie News

Despite the fact that celebrities are mostly guarded about their privacy, they still become a victim of cybercrime, where either their number is leaked, or someone starts impersonating them. Recently, Shabana Azmi’s team, through a notice, revealed that some imposter has been using her name to send ‘phishing’ texts to her friends and colleagues, asking responders to make purchases on App Store for the messenger.

Revealing the same, a notice was dropped on the actor’s Twitter handle that said, “NOTICE… It has come to our notice that some of our colleagues and associates, have received messages purported to be from Ms Shabana Azmi. These are clearly “phishing” attempts asking responders to make purchases on App Store for the messenger. Please do not reply or pick any calls/messages that appear to be coming to you from Shabanaji. This is a cybercrime of impersonation, and we are making a police complaint. As of now the two numbers from which these messages have been reported are +66987577041 and +998917811675. Thank you.”

Coming back to Azmi, as much as Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, veteran actors Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi grabbed eye balls for their chemistry in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, in which they play old lovers, who reunite. Their brief kiss too, became the talking point of town.
On the same, Dharmendra had shared, “I did get messages about the kissing scene. And, when I was told that there was going to be such a scene, I said ‘Captain mazboot ho toh team accha khelti hai. Ye toh mere daayein haath ka khel hai. Jab mujhe mauka milta hai, main chakka maarta hoon. Aur agar mauka mila hai toh gawauga nahin. Main aapke dilon mein jagah banaaye rakhna chaahta hoon (If the captain is strong, then the team performs well. This is an easy job and whenever I get a chance, I straightaway go for a six, why should I lose an opportunity? I want to maintain my space in the hearts of the audience).”
