Now, after two years, reports suggest that Dabba Cartel with Shabana Azmi playing a key role in the venture along with Shalini Pandey has been revived and it has been learnt that director Shonali Bosewill no longer be directing it.
The two actresses will play housewives who are running a crime syndicate along with three other housewives, reportsPinkvilla. The pre-production phase for the film is reportedly over and it will begin filming within the next two months.
This will be Shalini Pandey’s second OTT venture, the first one being Junta Band which is about to begin streaming. She has also wrapped up acting in her second Hindi film opposite Junaid Khan, Aamir Khan’s son. The film is slated to be released later this year.
Although a new filmmaker has been on boarded for Dabba Cartel, the name has not yet been made public. Excel Entertainment is busy with several other ongoing productions including a new crime drama series that will be showcased soon on OTT starring Kay Kay Menon and Kritika Kamra.
