‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ box office collection week 1: Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer falls short of 50 crore mark | Hindi Movie News

Karan Johar‘s directorial ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ is gathering a lot of praise on social media and the same is reflecting in the box office numbers too. Thanks to the hype and excitement, the movie has performed well, but couldn’t achieve the covered Rs 50 crore mark in three days.

‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ witnessed strong growth over the weekend and managed to score a total of Rs 44.50 crore nett.

The film has scored most numbers from Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida markets, with Bangalore, Kolkata and Mumbai also performing very well. ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ witnessed a growth of 30-35 per cent in the mass circuits over the weekend. ThisRanveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer has managed to outperform ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ in major cities. At the overseas box office too, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ has scored well, earning around $4 million in all the circuits.
Sharing his experience of working with Bollywood veterans Dharmendra, Jaya and Shabana, Ranveer had told PTI, “The kind of stature Dharam ji commands, the kind of aura he has, he is one of our greatest superstars ever. He is very generous as a person. It’s been a privilege… (It is surreal and unreal to have shared screen space with not just him but Jaya Bachchan madam and Shabana Azmi ji as well.”
