Ranveer Singh is riding high on the success of his latest film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani which just entered the 100 crore club in the country. The audience loved Ranveer not only for his style and swagger, but also for the way he cracked the loud but adorable Punjabi character of Rocky Randhawa in the film.
He recently held an Instagram Q&A session and answered a few questions his fans had for him.In the chat, one of his fans asked him “Be it Bittoo, be it Rocky, How do you always get that accent right?!!” The actor replied, “I love playing with language and adding cultural texture to the characters… Variations dhoondne mein mazza aata hai!” Ranveer has also received praise for the way he got the accent right for his portrayal of Bajirao Peshwa in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani.
In the same session, another fan asked him to choose his favourite character from Bittoo (Band Baaja Baaraat), Ram (Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela), Bajirao (Bajirao Mastani), Khilji (Padmaavat), Simmba, Murad ( Gully Boy), Kapil Dev (83), and Rocky. Ranveer was unable to pick one and wrote, “ Can’t possibly choose one, yaar! All are dear to me.”
The success of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani means a lot to Ranveer Singh’s career, who has had a string of unsuccessful films in Jayeshbhai Jordaar, 83 and Cirkus.
