‘OMG 2’ box office collection day 6: Akshay Kumar starrer crosses Rs 80 crore | Hindi Movie News



Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam starrer ‘OMG 2’ is slowly catching up at the box office race. The movie, despite facing stiff competition from ‘Gadar 2’ has managed to hold on it own and is expected to cross the 100 crore mark by this weekend.

After a huge push of Rs 18 crore on Wednesday, the numbers of ‘OMG 2’ fell a bit, but the film managed to score a decent Rs 7.75 crore nett, reports Sacnilk.

This Akshay Kumar starrer has earned Rs 80 crore in six days. ‘OMG 2’ opened with high expectations, scoring Rs 10.26 crore, despite having limited screens.
Directed by Amit Rai, ‘OMG 2’ underwent several modifications suggested by the CBFC, which granted the movie an A certificate. The film features Akshay Kumar as a messenger of Lord Shiva, while Pankaj Tripathi plays the role of an ardent Shiva devotee and he battled it out in court with Yami Gautam.
On the occasion of Independence Day, Akshay Kumar also informed fans that he has finally given up his Canadian citizenship and is an Indian citizen now. The actor showed off official documents regarding the same. Post ‘OMG 2’, Akshay will be seen in ‘The Great Indian Rescue’, ‘Soorarai Pottru’ remake, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, ‘Hera Pheri 3’ and ‘Welcome 3’.
