Nora Fatehi, who marked her acting debut in 2020 with ‘Street Dancer 3D’, is more known for her dance numbers like Dilbar, Saki Saki and Garmi. She did essay a small acting role in Ajay Devgn starrer Bhuj, but the film was panned by critics across the board.
In a recent interview, the actress opened up about not being offered lead roles. She told News18 that it is not because of her dance numbers that she doesn’t get acting parts but it is because filmmakers don’t look beyond four girls who are doing well.
Nora stated that only specific actresses are getting non stop projects in rotation and that filmmakers are not looking beyond them. She said that her next challenge is to prove herself so she can stick around.
Nora also mentioned that iconic heroines in Bollywood have been dancers who perform beautifully and being a good dancer was part of the package of a heroine who not only dances but also has the presence, the aura, ability to express etc.
Nora has now signed a south film which stars Varun Tej in the lead and it is said that she has a pivotal role in the project.
