No suicide note, but an audio recording found from Nitin Chandrakant Desai’s room, confirms police | Hindi Movie News

Celebrated art director and production designer Nitin Chandrakant Desai died by suicide on Wednesday morning. The 58-year-old was reportedly found hanging in his studio – ND Studio, located in Karjat. While the police are investigating the case, a senior police officer from Karjat told Bombay Times, “The forensic team is here. We got a call from the caretaker at around 9.30 in the morning. He was found hanging. The forensic team is doing the spot analysis at the moment. Interrogation has not started yet. We are taking everything one step at a time.”

He further added, “No suicide note was found, however, we did find an audio recording. The forensic team is on it. Once they are done with their work, we shall send the body for postmortem.”
As per our sources, Nitin Desai’s relatives has reached Karjat.

In his career spanning 20 years, Nitin has worked with filmmakers like Ashutosh Gowarikar, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Rajkumar Hirani and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He was the brain behind the sets of iconic Bollywood films like 1942: A Love Story, Devdas (2002), Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006) and Once Upon a Time in Mumbai (2010) to name a few. His last venture as an art director was Ashutosh Gowariker helmed Panipat, which released in 2019.
Nitin founded ND Studios in 2005, and the studio even hosted one of the seasons of Bigg Boss.
