As per a report in an entertainment portal, Jawan has been made on a budget of Rs 300 crore.
SRK has shelled money out to give his audience the best experience on the big screen. Apparently, directorAtlee is also a big believer of the theatrical medium.
The report further states that SRK knew that Pathaan would raise the bar and hence, he wanted to make Jawan even bigger and better than the Siddharth Anand directorial. The high-octane action sequences are shot in big setups. The team went ahead to mount big sets rather than the greenscreen format used in Pathaan, to give it a more realistic feel.
Pathaan was made on a budget of Rs 250 crore and it broke several box office records and turned out to be the biggest hit of SRK’s career so far. His earlier films such as Zero was made on a budget of Rs 200 crore, Dilwale costed around Rs 135 crore, Ra.One was made with Rs 130 crore, Fan with Rs 120 crore, Raees with Rs 95 crore and Happy New Year with Rs 150 crore.
In Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara are paired together for the first time. It also stars Deepika Padukone in a cameo along. Fans will also see Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra and Ridhi Dogra among others in important roles.
Meanwhile, SRK will also be seen in director Rajkumar Hirani’s upcoming film Dunki opposite Taapsee Pannu. The official release date of the film is still awaited.
