Recent reports suggested that Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty have been finalised for ‘Welcome 3‘, but Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar won’t be a part of the film. This took social media by storm as they cannot imagine the ‘Welcome’ franchise without Uday Bhai and Majnu’s characters. As per reports, Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi have replaced Nana and Anil in the movie.
However, a latest article has revealed the real reason why Anil is not a part of the movie.A report in Bollywood Hungama states that when producer Firoz Nadiadwala offered the film to Anil, he was shocked because the actor demanded Rs 18 crore. Hence, things didn’t work out with him. The actor was reportedly adamant about his fees and hence, the film was later offered to Sanjay Dutt. Meanwhile, Nana also thought of backing out of the film due to Anil’s absence because Uday bhai and Majnu are like Pav and Bhaji. Hence, they wouldn’t look good in the movie without each other. Hence, Sanjay and Arshad were roped in due to their Munna and Circuit chemistry.
‘Welcome 3’ is called ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ and it stars Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, along side Akshay, Sanjay and Arshad. The film also has Krushna Abhishek, Kikoo Sharda, Mika Singh and Daler Mehendi. The makers have locked in Christmas 2024 for the release of the movie.
Meanwhile, Firoz is also the producer on Hera Pheri 3 which sees Suniel and Akshay again. In all likeliness, the film is going on floors from September onwards. Suniel had said in an interview that ‘kisi ki nazar na lage’, the film should just start soon after they finished shooting for the promo a few months ago.
