Govinda claims his Twitter account was hacked after post condemning communal violence goes viral; says ‘I don’t speak for anyone and never discuss all this’ | Hindi Movie News

“Yeh hacked hai,” said actor Govinda after he was alerted about a tweet from his handle that condemned the communal violence in Gurugam.

A screenshot of the actor’s tweet, replying to the post from the actor’s account, condemningShortly after the post was made, the actor’s account was deactivated, giving rise to speculation that he chose to suspend his account owing to Twitter trolls.

However, in a post on his Instagram account on Thursday morning, the actor clarified that his account was hacked and that he hadn’t commented on the issue.”Just got a call from @mumbaigirl14 about a Tweet. I would like to say that my Twitter account has been Hacked so please do not attribute the Haryana tweet to me. I have not posted it,” he captioned a video post.

In the clip, he said “Please do not attribute this Haryana tweet to me, as I have not done this. Somebody has hacked my account. I am just doing a complaint to the cybercrime (department) now. I will look into the matter.”
Sending a message to his Haryana fans, he said that he hasn’t been using his Twitter account for a while and insisted that it was hacked. He added that his team also didn’t post on the handle and said that they wouldn’t post such content without his permission.

He claimed that the people behind the hack may have something to do with the upcoming elections.
This new post comes shortly after the actor won praise for taking a stand and speaking up on the issue of communal violence. Several social media users applauded the star for speaking up at a time when Bollywood actors have chosen to stay mum on national issues. Many even condemned celebrities like Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor Khan and even Anushka Sharma for speaking up on the Black Lives Matter movement but maintaining silence on national issues.
