In an interview with ETimes, Ameesha listed down the many films she regrets turning down.Interestingly, these included films withShah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and even Sanjay Dutt. “There were lots of films I couldn’t do,” said Ameesha and explained, “I turned them down because of date issues, so I couldn’t regret it.”

Revealing the blockbuster hits that were offered to her back in the day, she said, “Chalte Chalte was one of my films, Munna Bhai, Tere Naam… there were a lot of reasons I couldn’t do those films because I had already committed (to other films) and there’s only one Ameesha. You can’t be everywhere.”
‘Chalte Chalte’ eventually went to Rani Mukerji who shared the screen with Shah Rukh, while Gracy Singh played the leading lady opposite Sanjay Dutt in Munnabhai MBBS. Bhumika Chawla played the leading lady opposite Salman Khan in the iconic film ‘Tere Naam’.
During the chat, Ameesha was also asked about the one thing she wished she would have done differently in Gadar 2. To this, the actress said that she wished she could have contributed to editing the film a bit. “I wish I was just the editor,” she said and went on to explain, “I would have maybe edited and re-edited a few things, you know, made it maybe crisper.”
‘Gadar 2’ saw Ameesha returning to the big screen as her iconic character Sakeena opposite Sunny Deol‘s Tara Singh. The film helmed by Anil Sharma, is a sequel to the hit film which was released in theatres in 2001. Set during the partition of India in 1947, ‘Gadar 2’ follows Tara as he ventures across the border in a daring attempt to rescue his son (Utkarsh Sharma), who was captured in Pakistan.
