The last time that cinema halls reportedly saw such numbers was during the release of Shah Rukh Khan‘s Pathaanand Actor Yash’s KGF 2, but this is a new high for a post-pandemic release.
According to Boxofficeindia.com, the film is expected to record a huge opening day collection with several regional sectors driving the numbers.The hype around the film is a first, especially for a Sunny Deol movie. While the actor has been around for years in the industry, this is the first time that his film release has created such an impact on the box office.

According to the report, the film has seen one of the biggest openings till date, and it has managed to do so even though it is sharing its business with ‘Oh My God 2’ and Rajinikanth‘s ‘Jailer‘. The film has seen some big numbers comng in from the Delhi/UP belt, with Rajasthan and Bihar also recording great numbers. Sunny’s political inclinations may have reportedly played a part in the film not performing as well as expected in East Punjab, a sector he dominated in the ’90s.
The film is also reportedly doing good business in the South sector, and managing to hold its own against the Rajinikanth starrer.
Despite the warm reception, the film is unlikely to match up the collections of ‘Pathaan’ or ‘KGF 2’.
