Barbie, which raked in a collection of Rs 26 crore nett in its first week, took its total to an estimated Rs 29.05 crore on day 8.

The film has emerged a huge blockbuster in international markets and has reportedly on its way to the 1 Billion mark.Meanwhile, Oppenheimer continued it money-making momentum at the Indian box office. The Nolan-directed film, starring Cillian Murphy in the lead, collected an estimated total of Rs 72 crore nett in its first week. The movie which entered its second weekend at the box office, took its numbers to a gross estimate of Rs 77 crore. With the overall collections so far, trade experts predict another great weekend for the film, thus enabling it to take its total past the 100 crore mark and possibly beat Vin Diesel’s Fast X to become the highest Hollywood grosser this year.
The Tom Cruise starrer ‘Impossible – Dead Reckoning’ which entered its third week at the box office, is closing in on the 100 crore nett mark.
Although Oppenheimer recorded lower first-week collections, it could be on its way to becoming the highest-grossing Hollywood release in India this year.
Meanwhile, the release of the Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Rocky Aur Raani Kii Prem Kahaani added to the competition. The film amassed an estimated Rs 11 crore on its opening day at the ticket windows.
