Anurag Kashyap’s daughter Aaliyah Kashyap got engaged to her long-time boyfriend Shane Gregoire earlier in May. On Thursday, the couple hosted a grand party in Mumbai where several B-town celebs like Suhana Khan, Alay F, Agastya Nanda, Anurag Kashyap’s ex-wife Kalki Koechlin, Palak Tiwari, and Ibrahim Ali Khan among others marked their presence.

In a new interview, Anurag opened up about his daughter’s engagement and also shared his excitement.

He admitted that he was not aware of Shane’s proposal toAaliyah and he only to got know about their engagement through social media. He feels glad that this time he was invited for the engagement party.
Talking about Aaliyah, Anurag told Pinkvilla that his little one grew up too fast and she has a mind of her own. He added that Aaliyah is pretty much like her mother and father. They both are both stubborn people and Anurag likes to think that Aaliyah is also as stubborn like them.

Somewhere in his mind, Anurag had anticipated that Aaliyah is going to take the big step in her life. He is very happy about her engagement and he finds Shane to be an amazing boy.
“She has a mind of her own. She has her own thing. So it’s not like that, it was expected. I am very happy, I love Shane. He is an amazing boy. He is probably much more sensible and mature than I am,” he said.
