Ameesha Patel says she shares a father-son relationship with Gadar 2 director Anil Sharma: We fight, we block each other, we come back | Hindi Movie News

A few weeks ago, Ameesha Patel had complained about the mismanagement on the sets of Gadar 2 in Chandigarh and blamed director Anil Sharma’s production house. Later, the director and producer of the film had said that these are false allegations. While many people had speculated bad blood between the two, Ameesha has now set the record straight on her equation with Anil Sharma.

At the trailer launch of Gadar 2, Ameesha said that she shares a father-son relationship with Anil. “We fight, we block each other on whatsapp, social media. But we are back. That’s our relationship. That’s what we share,” she said at the trailer launch event of Gadar 2 in Mumbai.
Ameesha also recalled how the industry people were against Gadar and called the film a ‘gutter’ before it was released in 2001. People were wondering why she was doing a mother’s role so early in her career. The same thing happened with Gadar 2 where people really not convinced how she will play a mother to a 22-year-old after looking at her Instagram posts.

“People called Gadar – Gutter before it released. I had done two films with Hrithik, played a college student in a film with Salman. So people told me why am I taking up a mother’s role in gadar. But I took up the challenge,” she said.
“Same thing happened for Gadar 2.. People told me have you seen your Instagram? You are the lazy lamhe girl. How will you play a mother to a 22 year old? But I took up the challenge again,” she added.
During the event, Sunny Deol said that he was apprehensive about making Gadar sequel thinking whether they will be able to make justice to their iconic film or not.
“People made Gadar what it was. I ws scared because one shouldnt touch a film which has done so well. What if we don’t do justice but when I heard this script, I agreed. Buti I am hoping this also works well and fills you with pride,” he said.
Gadar 2 is all set to hit the theatres on August 11.
