Alia Bhatt is currently celebrating the success of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and in the next few days she will also be making her international debut. The actress recently attended the success press conference of her Karan Johar film. At the press conference, she was asked how her real wedding with Ranbir Kapoor is different from her reel wedding with Ranveer Singh.
Alia revealed that both of them were different and same. She said, “My real wedding was at home and I was wearing a very light simple saree, it was very simple, I was roaming around unlike Rocky Aur Rani where I was wearing this heavy lehenga and also had this heavy dupatta on my head. I’m grateful to my simple wedding as I wouldn’t have been able to do both.”
Elaborating further she shared an anecdote, “When Rocky and Rani were taking pheras, someone said that now the groom will take the lead and I was like ‘No the bride take lead now…

( laughs).” Alia’s reel wedding took place 4 days after her real wedding with Ranbir Kapoor.
The actress finally pointed out one similarity between both the weddings. In the reel wedding, there comes a moment when she is hoisted in the air by her family and Ranveer goes on his knee and then she puts varmala on him. She says, “At my wedding everyone lifted Ranbir up in the air and there was no one on my side to lift me, but then Ranbir only came down and went on his knees and bowed his head down and then I put the varmala on him.”
