The actor said during a conversation with Zoom, that his mother is not strict. She’s the one, they went to running when they were hurt as a kid. While he shares a father-son dynamic with Amitabh Bachchan, who is his hero, Abhishek says that your mother is ‘maa’ and he’s always said that the word ‘maa’ encapsulates pure love.
He further added that when he was a child, his father was hardly around due to work. They wouldn’t see him for weeks, eventhough he was in the next room. As children, they would go to sleep by the time he would return home after shoot, and he would be off to shoot, even before they woke up. But his mother never made them feel the void and that can be done only through love. Now that Abhishek is a father as well, he sees that his daughter Aaradhya sees him as a buddy, friend, but if anything goes wrong, the first person she’s looking for, is her mother.
In an interview with ETimes, Abhishek had praised his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for the way she has brought up Aaradhya. He had said that Aishwarya has beautifully introduced her to this world and taught her that it’s very normal. The actor further said that he’s grateful that his wife takes care of their daughter and allows him to go to work.
