Abhishek Bachchan advises young actors to focus more on ‘acting and diction’ rather than six pack abs | Hindi Movie News

Abhishek Bachchan has been part of Hindi Cinema for over 22 years and has delivered hits like Guru, Bunty Aur Babli, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, Dostana etc. The actor recently opened up on the obsession of young actors with their bodies and six-pack abs.
Talking about it in an interview with Dainik Jagran, the actor, giving an example of his character Jay Dixitfrom Dhoom franchise said that as a cop, he had to be fit but not the kind who would take his shirt off to show his six-pack abs.He also pointed out thatAamir Khan looked fit in the first half of Dhoom 3 and a little overweight in the second half, because the role required so. However, young actors today believe that they will become better actors just by getting six-pack abs.
He then advised young actors to focus more on their diction and their acting skills, that is what will make them actors and not well built bodies. However, he did accept that there are few roles that require an actor to have a chiselled frame.
Abhishek will next be seen in R.Balki’s Ghoomer where he plays a coach to Saiyami Kher, who loses a hand in an accident, but goes on to become a successful paraplegic cricketer.
