Aarush Varma breaks his silence on OMG 2’s A certificate: One of my biggest desires was to see myself on the big screen which I couldn’t | Hindi Movie News

Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 is currently basking in positive response from the audience but the 16-year-old Aarush Varma, who plays the role of Pankaj Tripathi‘s on-screen son Vivek, is unable to watch his own film because of the A (Adults Only) certificate given by the censor board. He has now opened up about the 18 plus certificate imposed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
Expressing his disappointment, Aarush told India Today that it was annoying because OMG 2 is his first film and his family, friends and everyone around him were excited to watch his performance in theatres.
“One of my biggest desires and ambitions was to see myself on the big screen, which I couldn’t and that kind of pissed me off. I couldn’t watch it because they’ve turned it into an A-rated film. It just felt annoying,” he said.Aarush also said that if anyone watches the film, they will know that the whole point of the film is to teach everyone that sex education. He believes that such topics are important to be taught to kids at a young age, so that their minds can develop around it. “And if they’re (CBFC) making that same movie 18 +, it kind of defeats the point of making such a film,” he added.
When he was asked if he has managed to watch Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2, Aarush said that he hasn’t, because he doesn’t want the excitement of his film to be overshadowed by anything.
